Occupying an ornate former East India Company office building with a clock tower, this heritage hotel overlooks Kochi Harbour and is an easy walk from Fort Kochi Ferry Station and 2 km from 16th-century Mattancherry Palace. Featuring colonial-influenced decor,the place is a fine blend of old world charm and modern comfort. The huge mural in the lobby featuring a colonial-era harbor setting is a stunner and Instagram-worthy. LOCATION: While the Fragrant Nature Hotel is not located in the city center, its secluded location amidst verdant surroundings is a major draw for those seeking peace and tranquility. The hotel is situated in close proximity to several scenic backwater destinations, making it an ideal base for exploring the region's natural beauty. DINE + DRINK: The lovely ROOFTOP bar and restaurant is the highlight of the hotel. A great place for a sunset drink or a romantic dinner. The breakfast at the lobby-level restaurant was a decent affair with a good selection of authentic local dishes and regional cuisine. ROOM: We stayed in Room 308, which was a SUITE room, so this review is based on that; SIZE: The suite is quite spacious with a separate living room and big bedroom area. The whole suite is tastefully decorated, and equipped with modern amenities. The attention to detail in the decor, which incorporates local elements, adds to the overall ambiance. ; VIEW: lovely view of the waterfront and the ships from the HUGE BALCONY attached to the suite; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good spa-quality toiletries FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines. A bit dated but good enough for a very basic workout. But the spectacular rooftop infinity pool more than makes up for the gym and comes loaded with stunning views. They also have a Spa on site to indulge in some treatments after a tired day out in the city. SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout-out to Mr.SREEJITH - the Rooms division head - for enhancing my stay! HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Big Smart TV (one each in the living room and bedroom!) dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in multiple languages

Excellent service, very polite and friendly front desk and restaurant staff. Clean, well appointed rooms. Restaurant service was efficient. Food choices were good. Easy walking distance to Jewish area of Kochi. Overall, the hotel was exceptional for the price.
